Dr. Rosen Gavino

Dr. Rosen Gavino is a graduate of Midwestern University, located in Downers Grove, IL. He was part of the inaugural class at Midwestern University to earn a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. He also acquired a CSCS to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists enabling him to work with some of the local elite high school athletes ranging from mixed martial arts students to football players. Prior to obtaining his doctorate, he attended Valparaiso University where he played Division 1 baseball and was also a student athletic trainer. He later wanted to focus on his education and transferred to the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology along with minors in Athletic Training and Pre-Physical Therapy. He is a product of Oakbrook Terrace, IL and attended Willowbrook High School in Villa Park, IL. At Willowbrook High School, he was a 2-year varsity baseball starter.

Ross started his martial arts career at Chung Moo Quan which was a martial art that combined 8 different disciplines. At the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana he was part of the Jeet Kune Do/ Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Club. After returning from school he then joined the Carlson Gracie Academy where he trained for 2 years. While in graduate school, Ross also trained with Rizaldy Tacadena on various martial arts with an emphasis on striking. Ross has been a martial arts enthusiast for the past 20 years and decided to put together an idea to have students train in different disciplines from some of the best instructors in the Chicagoland area.
